Many legal matters follow standard patterns and as a result we can usually offer you a quote and stick to it – examples of such matters include:
We, like almost every other law firm in Queensland, also charge by the hour in certain situations – purely due to the unpredictable and open-ended nature of many legal matters. The most appropriate method of billing will be discussed with you and agreed in advance, and will be subject to the strict legislative requirements of the Legal Profession Act 2007 (Qld). We understand that ‘hiring a lawyer’ comes with a certain negative connotation i.e. ‘lawyers are expensive’, and as a result we endeavour to bring certainty to the way we bill and explain what you can expect to pay and on what basis.

  • Some legal matters aren’t just confusing (which is stressful enough), but occur at the same time as traumatic family or other circumstances
  • We understand that the legal matter in question is not your only priority, and where possible we support our clients through these difficult times in other ways
